Agenda

각자의 개성과 표현이 중시되는 오늘날, 스니커즈는 명실상부 하나의 문화로 자리잡았다. 젊은 세대들이 즐겨 찾고 패션 산업이 발달한 성수동에, 지금까지는 없었던 스니커즈 문화를 위한 공간을 제안한다.

These days, when individual personality and self-expression are considered important, sneakers have become a culture of their own. This project suggests a space for a sneaker culture like never before, in Seongsu, which is full of younger generation and well-developed fashion industry.

Concept

패션, 스포츠, 경제 등 여러가지 분야에서 기능하는 스니커즈는 그만큼 다양하게 해석하고 즐길 수 있는 아이템이다. 오늘날 스니커즈는 독자적인 문화가 되었지만, 아직까지 그 문화를 제대로 즐길 수 있는 오프라인 공간은 존재하지 않는다. 본 프로젝트에서는 스니커즈 자체를 하나의 문화로 보고, 이를 다양한 방식으로 향유할 수 있는 공간을 만들고자 한다.

Sneakers, which function in various fields such as fashion, sports, and economy, are items that can be interpreted and enjoyed in plenty of ways. Today, sneakers have become an independent culture, yet there is no such space to properly enjoy it. Considering sneaker itself as a culture, this project attempts to create a space where you can enjoy it in many different ways.

Program

스포츠, 커스텀, 전시, 오프라인 거래 등 스니커즈를 즐기기 위한 다양한 프로그램들을 각 층에 배치하고, 이 프로그램들을 묶어주는 중심이 되는 커다란 스니커코어를 계획했다. 건물 전체를 수직으로 관통하는 스니커코어는 그 자체로 거대한 스니커즈 컬렉션이 되며, 방문객들은 이를 통해 건물의 성격을 직관적으로 파악할 수 있다.

Various programs to enjoy sneakers, such as sports, customization, exhibitions, and offline trade, were placed on each floor, and a large sneaker core was planned to tie these programs together. The sneaker core, which penetrates the entire building vertically, becomes a huge sneaker collection itself, allowing visitors to intuitively grasp the nature of the building.

Design

박스 형태의 모듈을 쌓아 서로 겹치게 배치하고, 접근성을 높이기 위해 도로에 면한 매스를 일부 덜어냈다. 입장과 동시에 마주할 수 있도록 건물 중앙에 원형의 스니커코어를 배치했다.

Box-shaped modules were stacked and overlapped, and some of them were removed for better accessibility. A circular sneaker core was placed in the center of the building so that the visitors could face it as soon as they enter the building.
